If you are in 9N, O, G or A then you will be doing the GCSE short course this year. It won’t mean any extra assessments, just that when you do an assessment you actually get a GCSE certificate for it. For the short course you will do two pieces of written work and a reading exam. When you come to choose your options, you will have a very good idea of what is involved in the GCSE French assessments. If you decide to carry on with French you could keep your marks, but we would actually like you to aim for 2 or 3 grades higher! If you decide not to carry on with French, you will already have a recognised qualification in it. If you are snowed in, the Homework page has some help with your mock reading.
If you are in 9R, T, L or E, then you will already have done some of the tests for your FCSE. You all worked very hard for your first set of Reading and Listening tests. It is imp0rtant you try to score a Level 4, 5 or 6 on your Speaking and Writing tests. There is some help on the Homework page if you are snowed in and would like to do some French.
