Languages Challenge

The Northgate Routes into Languages Challenge, sponsored by Learning Curve software, is a prestigious Award for Northgate pupils. It is backed by Learning Curve, makers of the Red Herring language-learning programme, and by Routes into Languages East, based at Anglia Ruskin University. There are a series of challenges for pupils to choose, leading to an Award Ceremony with certificates and prizes.

Pupils at Northgate have many different interests and hobbies, which they pursue with commitment and talent to a high standard. We want enjoying languages to be one of those interests.

The Challenge was launched with Year 7 and Year 8 in assembly on October 6th and the International Leaders will be signing up groups of pupils who are interested in taking part.. Here is what it looks like: Northgate%20Languages%20Challenge%20and%20documentation[1]

NEW Sixth Form version: Dereham Sixth Form College students who are interested in continuing with languages, even though they don’t study them to A Level, can take the Routes into Languages Challenge. If you have signed up, you should have received the Sixth Form Tasks.

Learning Curve are the makers of the Red Herring Software that Year 9 pupils at Northgate use as part of the Crime au Chateau Unit.
